This time next week, I'm planning on attending the Country Living 2008 Fair in Columbus, Ohio
This is a picture from the Country Living web site. I guess it's the line waiting to get into the Fair. Don't you think they would post a picture more exciting than this? I'm guessing the photo was really about capturing the banner. What do you think? Don't the people look bored? I think I would have posted some lovely Fall pictures, some wonderful vendors maybe, a work shop or two. I love the ad in their magazine. That looks exciting and made me want to attend. It states:
Bigger and Better Than Last Year
And In A New Ohio Location
Join us in Columbus at the Historic Ohio Village, September 12-14,
for the 3rd annual Country Living Fair. Shop the more than 100
exhibitor booths for antiques, vintage furnishings, gifts, crafts, and
collectibles. Enjoy cooking demonstrations in the Country
Living kitchen designed by the Workshops of David t. Smith.
Attend free decorating and crafting seminars, including pumpkin
carving and floral arranging. And join Editor-in-Chief Nancy Soriano
for three days of shopping and fun family activities!
Anyways, I have my tickets to attend all three days, got my hotel reservations for two nights and I have my directions ~ from Michigan to Ohio. My mom wants to attend with me so she and Dad will drive down on Thursday, spend the night with us and Mom and I will take off in the AM.
Oh, I think it will be. . . so. . . much. . . fun!! If not, I'll be heading home early. Especially, if I'm standing in a line like that most of the day :)
Are any of you planning on attending? This will be the first time I've attended this Fair.
I have some projects I want to share with you all. Yes, I've been working hard around here. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to post these projects for you within the next few days.
Hope to see you at the Fair!
Blessings. . . until next time,

Oh, Sher, I had some warm fuzzy feelings when I read the Columbus Fair! I remember attending the Ohio State Fair every year when I was a kid. My girlfriend's dad was a 4-H leader and he always took us to the Columbus State Fair. He had this huge cattle truck. He would load all of us in the back where he had placed bales of hay around the edge and drive us to the fair! Isn't that funny! He could never do that today.
My friend and I would have the best time all day as she and I visited all the animal barns, 4-H tents and ride the rides. What great memories!
I hope you have a marvelous time!
Blessings,
Cheryl

Hi Sher....
Looks like I'm going to have to come out from being a bashful reader! I'm going to the CL Fair too! I've been excited about it for months! While I'm here....I want to tell you how much I enjoy your blog. Forgive me for never telling you before! As a blogger myself (about my journey after Weight Loss surgery), I should have better manners because I love getting comments and knowing who visits me!
I'll be anxious to hear all about your adventures at the fair!

I would just love to go,but to far.One day I am just going to spend my life on the road hehe.
I sure wish I could go! You are right, I wonder how many people who see that photo decide not to go because of the long line!! Have fun!
It sounds like so much fun, Sher! I hope to hear all about it and see photos! Have a good time!
Lol on the picture! Yeah, I guess they are all worn out from just putting a great magazine together and couldn't muster another good photo for this!
I sometimes go to the Heart of Country show in Nashville where they have a booth as well as Country Home. I got to meet Mary Emmerling several times. Well...have fun!
Sounds like fun! You'll probably meet other bloggers, surely? Enjoy! ::Jill
