Well, was I ever surprised to find out that Sweetest Day is not celebrated nationally. It's mainly celebrated in the Great Lakes area. I was receiving comments and e-mails asking exactly what is Sweetest Day. So, for all of you curious, non-Great-Lakers, here's a link which describes Sweetest Day and its origins.

It's basically like a mini-Valentine's Day. . .created by FTD (flowers), Hallmark (cards) and candy-makers.
